Clinic Manager
Create and maintain your register and
export patient clinical measurements - screen shots from the
programme
Creating the initial registers for
diabetes or IHD can be a lot of work. So too can maintaining those
registers. In this menu are a number of tools to make the creation
and maintenance of your registers much easier. For example, in
Medical Director you will find only the names of patients who have
the diagnosis of diabetes correctly recorded. What is different here
is that the menu item shown below; "finding diabetes" searches for
both coded and un-coded diagnoses, and tells you which they
are. For example, in my Practice one of the doctors has recorded
type 2 diabetes as "MO diabetes" - meaning "maturity onset."
Medical Director does not recognise that as a diagnosis of diabetes. This
menu "finding diabetes" finds all of those. What's more, if you want to update your
register, just run this menu item and Publish it to Excel or Word -
as per the menus. A quick check of un-coded diagnoses, and the
register is again up to date.
If you are creating a mail out for
people to attend your diabetes clinic, you may want to select only
those people who do not have a complete cycle of care. If you record
cycles of care in the patient's Past History, then you can exclude
those whose cycle is complete from the mail out.
In this menu, first choose "finding
management plans and cycles of care." Publish this to an Excel or
Word document. It will list all those 2517's etc recorded in the
Past History. Then choose "Diabetes - choose which patient records
to export" and select which patients to send the letter to.
